Very comfortable and easy to hike in. I usually buy an extra wide size boot but the regular width boot fit me perfectly.

GREAT PRICE!!! Comfortable fit! These will last for years and most likely be passed down to my two sons!
Fred M –
I have bought these boots 3 times. As a driver making deliveries and walking all day in all types of weather these boots are the best I have found so far to make my feet as comfortable, warm and dry as possible. The weight of the boots make them feel like sneakers.
Dave R –
Great help from Colm at the Smithhaven store. He made sure I got boots that fit my needs and made sure I was satisfied. I would recommend the boots and the store to others!

I needed to buy a pair of boots last minute for a trip, tested a few different ones: la sportiva, keens, Salomons and while they are all great none was 100 percent comfortable.
Drove to LL Bean in Paramus, where I got these. Very comfortable, so comfortable that I was worried they would not perform well hiking. Well I can say that is not the case. I have just done the Yosemite Upper Falls trail, with snow and ice, used micro spikes on them, and they performed admirably, very warm , comfortable and grippy even without the spikes . Their waterproofing worked great, even getting some snow in them did not soak my feet, did not use gaiters, I have even sank my foot into a river while crossing and it did not totally soak them.
Then , days later I was at Joshua Tree National park climbing rocks in the desert and they were – again comfortable , grippy and kept the sand out of my feet.
I hope I do not have the issues folks complained here with the shoelace hooks coming off. As a final note the outside material is already quite scratched and dinged and my feet did get very smelly in them, but I think that is expected and totally fine for the performance it delivered – I was a surprised I could just hike in them from the get go with no need to break in!

I have very wide feet and wanted to get a pair of hiking boots that would be for backpacking and longer hikes, these are perfect. Im usually a womens size 9 1/2 and i got a mens 8

Landscaper J –
Best hiking boot ever. Feels like a shoe. I use them for landscaping & Lawncare and they are insanely waterproof. Even on the most wet days I never have a problem. Comfortable out the box. Buy these! I hope they never discontinue them.

This is the second purchase of this hiking boot for me. It has the lofty distinction of being one of the very few new shoes that I could put on, walk out the door, and be comfortable all day the first time I wore them. I am still using the first pair (3 years old) for yard work and other dirty activity. The new ones are my everyday footwear and I am pleased with them .

I’ve been wearing these since Spring and they’re very comfortable. I don’t understand why people are experiencing eyelet problems. I’ve pulled on the laces hard and have had zero problems.

I bought mine in my local store in Virginia in July 2020. I took a day hike that week to break them in and found that they were pretty much ready to go. A couple weeks later, I used them in Acadia National Park, circumnavigating Jordan Pond and scrambling up The Bubbles. They kept my footing on the rocky beach at Otter Cliff. Every so often, I used them in nearby Shenandoah National Park. Three weeks ago, I wore them in Iceland, crossing a lot of streams and a glacier (with crampons, of course).
These boots are relatively light, very sturdy, and really comfortable. I have a narrow heel and and wide forefoot. I never developed any blisters or even hot spots. Like many others, I feel like I’m wearing sneakers but with a firm sole. I have low-cut trail shoes, but I prefer wearing these for day hikes, because they’re more comfortable and keep out debris and insects.
Never had any lace hooks pulling out.
I know it’s a long time to wait before writing a review. I kind of lost track of time. But I always appreciated reviews coming from folks who had their products for a while and had sufficient time to shake them down. I hope you appreciate this review.

I purchased my boots in feb. 2021 and have been wearing this pair 5 days a week since then. I work mostly on concrete surfaces and even do some welding and torching with them, after a year and a half the soles are finally starting to get thin, but they are still very comfortable. the only issue I’ve had was needing to reglue the toe kick since they’re wearing thin. these boots are serving me well, they harken back to the Bean quality sold in the early 90’s . I hope to get another pair shortly.

I get 4 to 5 years of service from the shoes I purchase from LL Bean. It’s been consistent over many years. They are good looking and very comfortable!!!
