Item pictures are incorrect and deceptive. These are not olive colored, not insulated as shown. Additionally, came with a rusting rivet out of the box. Bad bad bad. Will return but what a pain.

I have four pair for various seasons of the year. The eight inch version with Thinsulate has become my everyday boot in cold weather. I wear them with Bean rag wool socks and find this combination to be the warmest footwear I have. Follow the sizing instructions and you will be completely satisfied.

Fit was perfect. I ordered the thinsulate model and that is what I received. The boots arrived two days earlier than projected when I ordered them, about 48 hours in total from order to delivery. Great company, super communication and the LL Bean boots are really well made. The fact that they are handmade in Maine, from premium materials, is very reassuring. From past experience these boots should last decades and look great doing it.

I have to leave a review as the reviews currently here made me skeptical on ordering. These arrived early and were the correct boots – the tan color in the pictures and they had the thinsulate (note the thinsulate boots only have the liner at the bottom of the boot). Bought these for my husband and they fit (remember to size down, and size down 1.5 sizes if a half size) and kept him warm. Also were In stock where LL Bean was out of stock!

Just received my boots and the first thing that impressed me was the quality. They’re simple and perfect in every way; fitting and stitching is on spot. These are heavy duty boots meant for use and abuse. They’re very comfortable and warm. I wear 10.5 in sneakers and a size 9 fits me perfectly. If in doubt, just order a smaller size.

Being a woman, I wear a woman’s size 13N or men’s 11N. There are very few choices in women’s shoes and not many narrow men’s shoes so was thrilled to see these in a narrow. They fit beautifully, are comfortable and have good arch support. Love, love these boots!
