These boots are amazing! First of all, L.L.Bean recommends unique sizing for these boots, but because they are shearling lined, I definitely learned to stick with my normal size. Also, they slide on so much easier than their original bean boot because of the shearling which is a nice benefit (I hate having to sit down and put on boots, so this is a plus). Lastly, these are just way more comfy than their original bean boot. You can definitely feel they are good quality boots, and I love how they feel so warm & cozy. I’m excited to wear them this weekend at the festival of lights parade.

These boots are totally worth the splurge!!!
I have a wide foot so I went with a size 8 (my normal size). So comfortable and keep my feet warm and dry on a snowy Buffalo day!
Susan H –
Very comfortable. Wouldn’t go through the winter without a pair.
Starr –
Love the feel of these boots. Very comfortable and warm. I did however purchase one size lower than I usually wear with light weight socks.
Dina S –
Very pleased with them, only wore them once so far but they’re comfy and cozy

These boots are so comfortable and perfect for wearing out the barn or to watch a cycle-cross event. They are warm and stylish. I am so happy I bought these boots!
Mama B –
Tumbled leather and shearling lined makes for a great boot. Comfortable and cozy. I loved my pair so much I bought a second pair for my daughter-in-law! We both have the pull on style and also love those.
Robin –
These boots were comfortable straight out of the box! I followed the LlBean sizing guide and the fit is great. The tumbled leather is soft and supple. These are worth the money!
Dog M –
Love my new shearling lined boots, just in time for weeks of cold weather, snow and rain: they have been used every day. I have put these to the test at my horse barn in mud and other nasty conditions, rinse off the bottoms of the boots and they are good to go again later. Worth every penny for my “older,” cold feet! I normally wear a women’s size 10 or larger, size 10 fit perfectly.
Deana –
Comfortable from the minute I put them on. I was able to wear them all day (shopping) without any issue. My feet stayed warm all day and night.
Barbara D –
Absolutely loved them. Worn on the worst winter days.

My first pair of Bean Boots, but not the last! Great quality in all regards. Love the tumbled leather feel and the loop for pulling them off and on. I received them three days before a nor’easter and got the chance to break them in on driveway shoveling job. Warm toes and great traction. I am a very happy person!

I purchased my shearling-lined boots back in 2019, but only got to review them now after taking them for a spin to Canada. It was bitterly cold there (about 10-14F), and we spent quite a bit of time outside. I wore mine with a pair of smart wool socks, and, while my family was complaining about their feet being cold, my toes were nice, dry and warm! LL Bean really knows how to make a warm, high quality boot! I just made my husband get his Bean Boots, too, so that he finally stops complaining about his feet being cold, lol :). P.S. Don’t forget to get the shearling inserts, too. The foot of the boot is not lined, but you can buy these extra inserts, and they really help keeping your feet warm.

Great boots. Very warm and comfortable. No break in time needed. They felt like the wicked moccasins the first time I put them on.
TiaW –
My favorite boots ever! No boot has ever been able to keep my toes from freezing!

I bought these Bean Boots for my daughter who “expressed her thoughts” (she doesn’t complain!) that her feet were never warm in the Pacific Northwest winter. I wasn’t sure she would go for these practical looking (not stylish) boots but I had her shop with me online and she liked the looks of these. I wear Bean Boots and she took my opinion to heart. I also got her some Alpaca boot socks and she is very very happy now that she has warm feet.

I waited a long time to purchase these, until I could go in person and see them. I’ve had a few “duck” boots along the way…well the first thing that hit me was the quality. These are meant for being “out”, I like “out” a lot. I’m not looking for a fashion statement but I don’t care for wearing canoes on my feet either. I want to look forward to them when it starts to get cold and wear them past when springs in full bloom on chilly mornings taking the dog out. The leather is supple but not too thin. I prefer the Sheepskin, even though ppl say it’s very warm. Wool naturally regulates. My feet don’t get too hot from that. But if you do run on the hot side, better go with a thinner wool sock. I like knowing that someone sat down and made these by hand. And you know what? Even the rubber matters. I don’t want to get a rock or a stick jabbing me and yet it needs to flex too. They feel substantial but not heavy. They don’t smell. I would like to see a more eco friendly natural liner. Maybe Buffalo or Merino wool on top a cork liner. THAT, would be amazing. I know my best gal pal will be looking at them for her next gear test. I recommend gear to ppl all the time having worked outdoor gear in the past professionally. I’m keeping these! Thank you! As you know, you got this one right

A present for my wife and she loves these boots. Likes the style and the warmth they provide.
Maureen –
These boots are a staple in my New England shoe wardrobe. Not even sure how many pairs I’ve purchased at this point, as I am 56 and have been wearing them for at least 40 years. They are comfortable, warm, and waterproof. I use these boots to walk the dog, shovel the driveway, and showshoe. Paired with wool socks, my feet never get cold or wet. Love them!
EmilyS –
I received these boots as a gift from my mom 3 or 4 years ago and am finally leaving a review as I order another pair! These boots are amazing for the winter here in Michigan, the fur lining keeps my feet super warm, and unlike other sheepskin boots I own which also keep me warm these are also super water-resistant. I have worn these boots in all kinds of weather from rain, slush, snow, and dry ground, they keep my feet dry in all even while walking around for hours. The soft fur inside allows me to wear them without socks and still be super comfy and warm. I wear socks or not depending on how I feel.

They are so wonderful! I love them so very much and cannot wait to wear them all winter long. I was a little nervous on the sizing but they fit so perfect and snug :).
