Full disclosure, I haven’t yet worn these boots, but they seem to fit well and I appreciate the ability to lace them up for a better fit. I bought the pull on style at the same time and returned them in favor of these boots. I will be making trips to Alaska this winter and hope these boots keep my feet both warm and dry.

Classic boots. Keep my feet warm! So glad I made the purchase.

I have one size 8 foot and one 8 1/2 foot (for real) so I ordered the 7 med and 8 med. to see which one would fit the best. Because of the primasoft lining the 8 was perfection. If the boots you want to buy have the thicker lining buy your regular size. If no lining go down one size. These will keep your feet toasty in the coldest of weather. The sherpa lining is throughout the boot so it is made for the colder weather.

They run big. Wide and long. No reviews so read other for similar LL Bean boots and ignored the runs big bit. Should have factored it. Ordered normal size but will try a smaller size and see if they fit.
Michelle –
Love! The color is amazing. I am a true 8 with narrow feet and these fit perfect on me.

size down! I am a 6 1/2 in most shoes and 7 in some running shoes when my feet swell. I ordered a 6″ and it is a half size too big. I want to try and exchange them because a little too big and they slosh around. I gave them a 5 stars because other than the size issue they are very comfortable!

Love how comfortable and durable they are. Easy to put one and I get completed on the all the time.
Tina –
very comfortable and I like the fact I can do a loop for the boots as I have one hand in a cast.

Love these boots! I’m from Maine and I couldnt get the size I needed from the LLBean store…Zappos to the rescue! Thanks for the speedy service.

Originally i ordered my normal size. They were too large. Returning was very simple and customer service was great. I love these boots. Thay are very comfortable from day one. Would highly recommend.
Kim K –
very nice fit, size 6 all the time and this is a 6 and fits. I have a very moist/wet yard and my shoes get soaked in 2 minutes, these keep me dry and I am so thankful, they are warm and comfortable and good fit.
KatFish –
Original Weatherproof Comfort. Pay close attention to sizing instructions, my street shoe size as ordered was too big regardless of sock thickness.

These are my first pair of L.L. Bean boots – if you’re on the fence about buying them like I was, absolutely purchase these. I bought them specifically for going to a winter game at Lambeau and to survive during rainy/snowy days in Chicago and these held up perfectly! I could be on my feet for hours and would still be comfortable in these shoes. They look great and I wear these as my day to day winter shoes!
Hayley –
Cute and made well. The boot is warm for bitter cold temperatures.

I LOVE the LLBean 6″ Primaloft lined boots. My feet are 10″ long, regular width (not narrow, not wide), and size 9 was too big and size 8 fit perfect.
I don’t recommend the LLBean 6″ boots or the Bean 6″ Padded Collar Bean Boots (both unlined). In both pairs of boots, the tongue is sewn to the full height of the leather next to the bootlace holes, resulting in a narrow opening that I knew I’d never wear if I ever had the patience to put them on.

Warm, comfortable, and good grip for snow and ice! LOVE my Bean boots!! So worth the investment.

My feet are 10″ long, thin but wear regular width footwear, and wear a size 9 shoe/boot. I tried sizes 8 and 9 in this pair of boots and two other styles and size 8 fit best. Today I wore the size 8 LLBean Bean Boot 6″ Primaloft Sherpa lined boots with a pair of my husband’s thick GoldToe socks and my feet were so comfortable I could’ve slept in the boots. Also, the LLBean shoes don’t look clunky or ‘not stylish’ (read that in a review). In comparison to Sperry duck boots, the Sperry duck boots are a closer fit to my feet in my regular size 9, but since LLBean are made in USA I decided to replace my old Sperry’s with LLBean. Zappos is awesome! I was able to try several styles and sizes, and thanks to their quick delivery time I was NOT stuck waiting weeks to make a decision.

End of last year I bought the boots in a size 9 my normal boot size for my 8.5 shoe size. HUGE mistake! Despite wearing double thick socks, the boots must have been loose enough, possibly contributing to my fracturing my femur! Having surgery, long recovery was not fun so I’d suggest choose wisely. In November I bought a size 8 of the boot. Since I bought cleats to put on my boots for certain activities I bought a third pair in December. It’s a hassle to put on, remove the cleats so I dealt with the added expense. I have Raynaud’s so the lining keeps my feet warm too.

I love these boots! We went on a 2 hour hike through blizzard conditions, and my feet stayed warm and dry the entire time. I highly recommend them!

This was a gift. My daughter was happy with this style and selected it. They are well lined to keep feet dry and warm.
Jill C –
I am in love with these boots! The sherpa is just enough to stay warm without making sweaty feet and it is so comfy! The leather is nice and soft and the height of the boot prevents digging into my calves.
Becky –
I sized down from my typical size 7 boot and the fit was perfect. A nice alternative on slushy, rainy days and coordinates with whatever I’m wearing. Definitely a keeper!
Charlie H –
LOVE. Perfect fit, super warm and comfortable. True to size. I can wear arch supports in them with thin socks and they aren’t too tight. If you need arch supports and thicker socks though, consider a size up.

These boots are high quality and so sturdy! I like tucking the laces inside. Does anyone else do that? I wear a whole size and the sizing worked out great, even for heavy weight socks.
S I –
Love these boots! The leather is supple, the lining is soft, and the height is perfect for my 5 foot 3 frame.
I usually wear a size 5 1/2 to 6 and was worried that none of the lined Bean boots would fit since they all run big. I bought these in a size 6, the smallest they make in this style. With thick socks, they fit nicely with a little extra room but not so much that I am tripping over myself. The sherpa lining and padded insole make the boots a little snugger, and that makes all the difference. That said, these boots are a tad too roomy if I wear thin socks.
For comparison, I tried on the unlined Bean boots in size 5. Those fit me similarly as these. However, with thick socks, I found them a little too snug in width. I also preferred the suppleness and softness of the lined boots to the stiffness of the unlined boots.
I have been wearing these around the house for a few hours, and my feet feel toasty and comfy. They will definitely be warm through DC winters. I cannot wait to test them out once the weather cools.
