These are replacing my 8″ non-insulated Maine Hunting Shoes that I’ve worn since the mid ’80s. It was time. These are so much warmer, I wear them with only a light weight nylon stocking.
I hope I get 40 years of wear out of these, but I probably won’t as I’m over 80 years old now.

I’ve been craving a pair of black Bean boots for ages , but in the past when they had a full black offering, they felt too heavy and masculine for a woman. I ordered the mens equivalent in my size 8 and the updated deep gray leather in combination with the black sole , softens the appearance just right to parter with jeans. Nice soft leather needs no braking in. They are a tad too large with the mens to women’s conversation but an inner sole should do the trick !
