These boots are great! Very warm and comfortable for walking. LL Beanās guidance for half sizes to size down was spot on. I normally wear a size 8.5, and Iām glad I ordered an 8. They fit perfectly.

Definitely takes a minute for the leather to soften up and form to your foot/leg. They are warm which is great! Just make sure to wear long socks when you first get them because they will make lines on your legs from the leather being stiff.

I LOVE these boots. I have been looking at them for 5 years and took the plunge. I am thrilled I did. I was surprised with how much arch support they had. I wore them to work for 8 hours of standing and my legs did not hate me. I am a 10.5ish person and ordered an 11. When I wear thin socks it’s a bit roomy, but fixed by tightening the laces. Thick socks are a breeze. Scott made my boots. Thank you!

I wish I bought these boots years ago. They are so comfortable and warm. The leather broke in pretty quickly so the leather is already soft and more pliable (at first the tongue was pretty firm on the front when walking). Well made. Arrived quickly. Planning to buy more styles.

Finally a truly waterproof boot that works for rain or snow. Wore them for heavy rains in the city and snowshoeing in the mountains. Feet stayed dry AND warm. It’s a classic and I also love the plaid flannel lining. Leather gets better the more I wear them.

I’ve legit gone back forth on buying duck boots for decades. But I never pulled the trigger mostly because I was under the impression from some 1980s advice stuck in my head that they weren’t warm. Maybe they weren’t then, but that was a dark age before we were blessed with an abundance of cozy, thermal linings. So, now we’ll into the 21st century, the Golden Age of Boot Linings, I made the jump.
These boots were perfectly, perfectly comfortable right outta the box. Depending on the brand, I can wear anything from a 5.5 to a 7; based on other reviews, I went with a 6 on these and am glad I did. They’re somehow perfetto with both my thickest and just regular socks. They also have great arch support, perhaps the best I’ve felt in a winter boot.
These boots check all my key winter-boot boxes: warm, dry, lightweight, easy on-easy off, classic good looks but for two: the height and having a lace-up front/tongue. But course I knew about these features when I ordered them, so I can’t hold that against them. That said, I’d not wear these in deep snow because snow would not only get in over the tops but would work it’s way jn around the tongue, neither of which I can abide. But they’re great for walking on low-snow, icy terrain, and I actually just keep them in all day at work.
These are a quality product. If you like the aesthetic and need a walking, errand-running boot, this could be The One.

I love these boots! They are super comfortable, warm, and good traction. I haven’t had to worry about my feet getting wet or slipping when I walking. They are not heavy on my feet when walking or so warm that my feet sweat wearing them.

Great boots. I wanted good quality boots that could be perfect in all weathers and temperature. Other reviews recommended to size down. I’m normally a size 9-9.5. A 9 would have been way too big, but the size 8 is perfect. I can easily wear a thinner sock and still have comfortable room in a thicker wool sock. Would definitely recommend this boot.

I tried them on in person and learned the shoes run very big in size. I’m usually a 7.5 and 6 fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and durable. I also picked these for the tongue, I found it more comfortable than the other style with the attached tongue.

Very comfortable and looks great. I got them on sale too. Definitely a great boot. LL Bean sizing is a bit different from other shoe brands, so I recommend trying on in store. But once you have a good fit, they’re great boots.
