I find it interesting that we have the option of reviewing a product as "True to Size" when there is no such thing as a standard size anymore. I can wear anything from a 5 to a 7, no matter from which retailer I order, including LLBEAN. I need a wide shoe and these are good enough to keep at a 7B…no heavy duty socks can be worn with them however. They are warm and comfortable.

Exactly what I wanted! The size is perfect, and the color is MINE!

I am very happy with these boots. I received them one day before we got 8 in of snow. They kept my feet warm and dry and they were surprisingly easy to put on and take off. I have very high insteps so I thought I might have trouble getting them on and off but I didn’t. But here is the reason I gave the boots four stars instead of five. If I wear sweatpants or jeans and my regular hiking socks, the fabric lining of these boots pulls the socks down around my ankles and leaves most of the sock bunched under my foot, which is very uncomfortable. If I wear leggings and tall socks that are pulled up over the leggings, then the socks stay in place and the boots are great. As a result, I don’t wear the boots as often as I would like to. When I’m about to run outside to play with the dogs, I don’t want to have to think about what pants I’m wearing and what socks I’m wearing. But when I make the effort to dig out the leggings and the tall socks, the boots are awesome and I enthusiastically recommend them.

I use them for quick trips and snowy dog walks. They slip on so there’s no shoe-tying required. They’re definitely big and little clunky, but they are perfect for what I need them do, which is go on quickly and keep my feet warm and dry.

They fit well and are easier to walk in than my old zip up ones but aren’t as warm. I prefer the zip up even though they were stiff to walk in. Not only warmer but I can zip and unzip with my gloves on.

My wife loved these boots, thought they were great looking, well-made, comfortable, and more importantly WARM. No complaints on fit or function.

Great snow boot! Very comfortable and warm on a snowy day! Of course, excellent quality as is the norm with LL Bean products. Would buy this again in a heart beat!
Vick –
Very heavy. Thick heel and front area, so size up for ice stabilizers , and more difficult to secure snowshoes .
Very warm and higher for walking in snow and slush

They are warm plus they look cool. The purple color adds a lot to them!!!!

The boots are very warm, but a bit sloppy. Where the upper meets the lower rubber area may be a bit weird fitting on some people but kinda stretches out for me. They are on the wider side and longer side. I’m a 10.5, but usually order 11 and they are a bit big. These are longer than normal. The flap under the ties folds in on itself instead of being a normal tongue, which is a bit odd and needs to be positioned just so. Overall I’m keeping them because warm sturdy boots are hard to find. They could be better structured, but will work.

Boots are clunky and heavy when wearing. Nice color.

Beautiful boots. Super warm for cold Michigan weather and they have great traction on the ice. They feel a little odd at first, but I think most tall boots feel a bit different. It’s rare to find a waterproof boot, meant for walking through 6+ inches of snow. They have beautiful quality and I hope they provide me many years of warms. Would totally buy them again!
