Denise –
I put them on the first time, very comfortable and true to size. They felt broken in already!
MotherOfPearl –
These are gorgeous boots and appear to be very well made. Problem is, I had to struggle mightily to get one foot in, and I couldn’t get the other foot in (in the other boot!) at all. My feet are narrow-to-medium width. Should not have been a problem. I was wearing the medium-thickness smartwool type socks I would wear when wearing these boots, nothing super thick. Had to send the boots back, sadly.
Even if I could get both boots on, I would not want to struggle each time I just want to get out and walk the dog. Am going back to my tried and true Comfort Mocs.
CeCe –
Just received a pair in 8 wide, black. Wanted a plain ( smooth front slip on boot). No trouble getting it on with a medium weight wool sock but the heel is too loose, front & toe area are excellent, I have bunions and arthritis . I previously (5 years ago?) purchased a similar pull on higher boot which is no longer available, was looking for something similar but ankle height. This isn’t it unfortunately. Also the black with the whitish sole – looks ugly. Brown looks better online so I’m debating whether to reorder or look for another style. The loose fit in the heel, also makes this boot run against my Achilles’ tendon even with the heavy socks.
Cortney –
I first tried these on with an ankle sock, not easy to get on and the top of the boot instantly was digging into my legs as I walked. Tried a boot sock to help cushion my leg. Very difficult to get my slender foot into the boot with the boot socks and then I couldn’t get my other foot into the boot at all! I will be returning these.
Maestro –
I can be a 6/12 or a 7, but typically a 7 (mainly because of width), so I originally ordered in a size 7. They were too long and just a little big, so I ordered a 6 1/2 and they fit like a glove! Will be much easier walking around with the half size smaller. My feet run wider, though I don’t have wide feet, so I often have issues with the width of shoes but these were just right.
Albinia –
I agree with the people who have found these boots very difficult to put on, and I’m subtracting a star for that, but the quality is high, I like the look (I got the brown) and the fit and comfort are excellent. I have a hard time finding shoes for my wide feet, so I invested five dollars in a shoehorn, and that solved the problem of getting them on. I am wearing them now with fairly light socks, but expect by the time I am wanting heavier socks the shoes will be broken in enough to accommodate them.
