It was cut slimmer than I expected, but otherwise, it is a good choice. The zipper is a good one and that was the reason for ordering a new jacket.

This jackets seems well made and the fleece is soft and cozy. The hood stays up and the sleeves are long enough and it hangs straight and looks nice. Often my husband is wearing 3 layers of LLBean, top to bottom.

I usually wear XLT for most things. In the past I’ve ordered hoodies from LL Bean in that size and not had a problem. This one was tight across the back and in front across the chest, and I returned it. In the same order was a traditional hoodie, and that fit perfectly. I haven’t re-ordered this yet, but if I do I’ll go a size up and I think it would work fine.

So as a much bigger than average woman, I end up in men’s sizes a LOT. This was bought as a thermal layer for under my motorcycle jacket. I needed a garment long enough in the back and arms not to ride up, while remaining light and thin under the armored jacket. And I needed a fullzip to be able to thermoregulate because personal summers….
The shoulders are perfect, the sleeves come down to cover my wrist with no gaps. The bulk is just right under the jacket to provide relief from the wind chill and it is the perfect weight alone for a chilly spring evening or light rain. This is probably just going to be my jacket except for the very coldest of weather.
