This jacket was a replacement for an old “polar” fleece that I have literally worn out. My new Bean fleece is more comfortable, thinner, and warmer than my old stand-by. Great as a stand alone for Fall temps and perfect as a layer in 0 degrees.

I work in the garage in the early mornings and in the evenings. Sort of my “man cave”. With uninsulated walls, the temperature can be between 50 and 60. This lightweight fleece jacket gives me free mobility and is insulating enough to keep me warm without getting in the way.

I’ve had three previous versions of this jacket. The others were much nicer than this one. The sleeves on this one are very narrow. In spite of me having pencil arms, it is difficult to put on without pulling my shirt sleeves up. The fabric is a bit funky, I really prefer the old fabric. But overall, this type of jacket is now very difficult to find, so I’m glad I got it. In retrospect, I wish I had bought a couple of the older ones! Other than the sleeves, the jacket fits well. It’s a L tall, and I’m 6’5″ 200 pounds.

The technology behind this jacket is amazing! The way LLBean makes their fleece jacket windproof and very warm is they make the inside body of the windproof fleece like a wetsuit for diving. The inside is not fluffy. It is solid and or flat like a wetsuit so it traps your body warmth and deflects any chilly wind that may come your way!!!

It is was really small, my husband wears 2XLT – this item was not 2X nor was it sized tall. Otherwise, it seemed very nice.

Few products live up to their hype, but this is one of those lucky few. After a baptism by fire (wind) on a vacation in the Highlands of Scotland, I can assure you this jacket blocks 98% of gales and gusts from reaching your torsojust don’t get it wet!

Look past the trendy sweater and sherpa fleeces to this hidden gem. So much more bang for the buck! Great styling, superb performance. I did choose to size up in this one (normally L took XL) after trying them both on in store. The XL provides a little more room in the body for layering and more importantly in the sleeves which seem to run a touch narrow. The natural/nautical navy is a great fresh take on all the blacks and grays out there!
