I decided to buy a vest to go over my lined flannel shirts. I bought this in grey. It's very warm and soft. It lets me use my lined flannels in colder weather so I get more bang for the buck. With the vest, the lined flannels can be worn comfortably in weather in the high 30's. I love the outer zipped pockets because my keys and phone stay safe. Will buy another in the blue.

I got the Navy one with yellow trim on the zip pulls. It fits perfectly. It’s so light, I don’t even notice it’s on, but it adds a very nice coziness. The other Bean vest I have is down and much bulkier and for much colder weather. This is a nice indoor add-on. There’s something about how it’s cut that I love. And the inside of the pockets are so ultra soft. A great purchase.

I have two of these fleece vests. I bought them years ago; one grey and one navy. I wear them every day, over one of the many LL Bean Women's Waffle-Knit Henley long-sleeve shirts. I have about 10 of those shirts and the waffle weave does wonders at keeping the heat in. The fleece vests are my workhorse wear. In the winter, in my little rural cottage, it gets quite cold, and I have to bundle up. The heating system is not a modern forced-air heat that runs though-out the house, so it gets pretty cold inside.
A tee shirt, then an LL Bean Waffle Weave Henley, then one of these fleece vests. If it's super cold, I wear an LL Bean Cashmere Crew Sweater over the Waffle Weave shirt, under the fleece vest.
They wash up just fine, don't shrink and still look great after all these years.
I recently saw these fleece vests being sold in a gorgeous Loden Green, but unfortunately I didn't jump on it, and then it was gone in a day. Lesson learned.
Anyway, these vests are a good layer for those colder days. I recently purchased, and am waiting for, one of those LL Bean Mountain Pile vests, as it is getting time to rotate out these old fleece vests with some other vests.
If you're looking for a good winter layer, indoor or outside, you would do well to add a or a few of these fleece vests to your repertoire.

Cozy, warm, love the rich color. I bought a large, and have had many large LL Bean vests before. It is baggy under the arms. I kept it, but would buy a medium another time. I usually buy large vests, so much forgiveness and I did not want it tight around the hips. I am 5’4″, 145 lbs.

This vest was on back order, but thankfully arrived earlier than expected. The soft purple color is beautiful and the vest is cozy and warm. I am 4’11”, so the petite length fits much better than the regular size. Looking forward to wearing it next winter!

It is a nice weight but not a great zipper. I think this vest is not LLBean usual quality & overpriced. I did keep it.

I liked the color and the feel of this vest. The small I ordered was a little larger than I expected it to be, but I ended up returning it because the arm-holes flared out too much for me. I wanted a vest to wear over tee-shirts to keep my core a little warmer and to stash my keys, I.D., and phone in the pockets. If I wore bulky sweaters, it would have been fine.

I own this vest in nautical navy from a previous year’s purchase. Decided to purchase again in sienna brick color. Size XS is a nice, close fit, which I like to wear over long sleeve tees or turtlenecks for warmth. However, the sienna brick is NOT the pretty orange-pumpkin color shown online and in the Bean printed catalog. It is a dirty, faded orange color, which isn’t very appealing to me. The vest itself is a nice item, but because of this color, I’m returning it.
