I wanted a lightweight wind breaker and this one is perfect. I ordered a PL and it fit perfectly. The navy is classic and goes with anything. The attached hood looks good down and it is handy in heavier wind. The picture makes it look like a heavier jacket and it is not. Love it!

What a great jacket! This is basically a copy of the most excellent Mountain Anorak but in a convenient full-zip jacket version. I tried it on, both as a single outerwear layer and under an insulated Katahdin pullover. It's fine both ways, although…I have the feeling that when I try to layer it over a polo, a corduroy Big Shirt and the Katahdin pullover, it's going to be pretty snug. I might want to go back to the Mountain Anorak for the triple layer–I don't want to destroy the zipper by putting too much tension on it. At any rate, this is going to be a wonderful spring, summer, fall wind and light rain jacket. I hate miserable, squeaky, non-breathing rain jackets; frankly I'd rather get a little wet than spend a day sweating inside one of those things. This is one of those just-right jackets. It's soft, breathable and will protect well against wind and shed a few raindrops. It has a real hood that will shield my eyeglasses, not one of those useless little fold-away pretend hoodlets. I do wish the sleeves were shorter–even though this is petite, they're still a little long. I've been waiting a long time for a decent Supplex nylon jacket in a petite size. Yay, LL Bean, thank you!

Happy with fit, have room for more than a tee shirt underneath. Very nicely made.
Kate –
The good point is that Petite size hood fits my body type. The whole coat is a good fit if I don’t layer much underneath. Mountain Classic makes it sound like it’s suitable for Cold weather, but there is no warm lining and it’s not very water-proof in serious storm. Also price was hefty for lack of value.

Love this jacket! I appreciate the hidden zippered pocket within the right pocket since I don’t carry a purse. The deep pockets fit my iPhone mini without worry of it popping out. The elastic cuffs are not tight but hold at the wrist well. I returned the regular for a petite due to the arms.

Lightweight but well made and durable. I have both the pullover and the zip up. Love them both.

I have purchased raincoats in the same material that were pullovers, so I knew the type of material that I was getting was not truly waterproof or water resistant. It is okay for a light rain but I certainly would not wear it outside for long periods if I were camping in the rain. I purchased this jacket simply to get me from my car to the office on rainy days. I would say that it is true to size and has a little bit of extra room for layering underneath. The material is soft. I like that it comes in so many different styles and colors, but I went with a traditional black so it goes with everything.

Great jacket! Love the simplistic yet classic style. I’m 5’6″, 135 lbs and ordered a small. Fits true to size.
Brianna –
I was searching for a light weight spring jacket and this is perfect! Very comfortable, light weight but still warm enough for spring/summer mornings. Does run a little big, I purchased an xxs I’m 5’3″ 110lbs

quality construction yet lightweight enough for warmer days. sheds rain as well. only adjustment i might make would be to make the hood detachable.
Michelle G –
Very comfortable and lightweight.Love this jacket perfect for Spring or cooler days.
Deb B –
Great lightweight windbreaker/water repellent jacket. Works perfectly with a hoodie for 55-60 degree days and by itself for rainy humid days. It’s my second jacket in a different color this time. I’d recommend it to those who like to take something along just in case of rain or temperature drop. There’s a deep hidden pocket with zipper for keys and cell phone. The hood can be tightened around your head to block out wind swept rain and keep you dry.
Barbara K –
Perfect lightweight summer jacket that is great for everyday wear and is easily packable for travel.
Riley –
Wonderful fit with style! Others admired the sharp contrast betweeen the black jacket and gold cords. Here is the best-Where did you get this jacket?
Bettie G –
Good color, perfect weight for the weather at the time we were in Maine, nice fit.
Carly –
I had my doubts that this jacket would be worth the high price but it is so well-made that I believe it will last for a long long time. I’ve become a believer in buying fewer items but ones that are top quality and this fits the bill

Windbreaker, rain coat – well made and good fitting coat
Ddkbean –
Fit well in shoulders and arm length was good, but too tight around the hips.
Kathleen H –
It’s lightweight and comfortable and the price is great
Andrea –
Perfect fit for a rainy day. This windbreaker is thin, but keeps you dry and warm. Great for layering
AniaS –
Picture is deceivinggood quality but not at all flattering. The picture shows a good length jacket that has an hourglass shape and is fitted in the middle, sort of an A line. Unfortunately, it’s is everything but that. The jacket reaches no longer than half of your bum and is not fitted in the middle at all. This might be a good choice for small women but it does not flatter curves at all.
Becky –
Very lightweight and comfortable.
Does not feel like my other rain jackets, this is more of a light fabric-but it does keep you dry!
My only complaint is that the hood seems a bit too big and falls over my face a bit-so I do fold it back a bit when I have the hood up.
Aldike –
Although I haven’t yet worn this jacket, I tried it on and love it. If feels so nice and fits well. Originally, I ordered the medium size, but returned it for large because I thought I might want to wear a sweater under it at times. I like to have room for movement.
Yopumpkin –
I wore this for the first time yesterday in a downpour and I stayed perfectly dry. The hood stayed up and the jacket was comfortable to wear. I still have my first LLBean jacket from 23 years ago, still in great shape, but since my shape got a little
larger, I needed a larger size. I’m so glad I went with this jacket.
Julie –
Love this jacket. It’s a perfect fit and good for rain or shine days……..a good in between seasons jacket.
