I like this pullover for the great dark coral color that somehow manages to be bright.I am 5'4" and I find that this jacket hits me midhip which is a very flattering length. I ended up sizing down from my usual large to medium because I did not want my stomach to look poochy.I didn't order petite, but chose the misses size and found that for my height this was the right length and my arms are covered to the wrist. The navy trim is cute as is the box quilting pattern.I thought it was nice to take quilted material into sweatshirt design instead of the stodgy riding jacket style.
(I did not look good in the colorblock print).I look much better in one solid color….

I got this in the blue. It's a VERY NICE WARM PULLOVER! I got it a tad large as I could have gotten away w/a M. I wanted it bigger so I can wear some layers under it and that I do. It does have a drawstring at the bottom so it can be pulled tighter to make it more form fitting. I tend to wear this more then my coats now. It's an easy "to go jacket." Take it and slip it over your head and out the door you go. I find it to be warmer then some of my winter jackets probably due to having no open front on it and the drawstring at the bottom of it. I wear this Everywhere! Even around my house now w/my flannel pants on at night relaxing….It's very versatile. I love the LARGE front pocket on it…..while lounging around, I stuff it w/my Kleenex, and chap stick. When outside, I put my cell phone and wallet in it so less I need to take to the stores….
The hood goes right up close to my face so it does keep the wind out on a windy day. Again, I wear this allot! It's one of my fav. outdoor jackets to now wear. The zip goes down LONG enough to get it over my shoulders and my head. Again, Easy in it/Easy out of it. It stuffs into my small locker at work as well….
No complaints on this one! AAA++++ PERFECT!

How did I miss this in previous shopping online visits? I have a heavy winter jacket and several fleece ones and this is the perfect in-between jacket. So easy to throw on when walking the dog, traveling, running errands or hanging out with friends. Love the kangaroo pocket and hidden secret pocket and I get compliments on it as it is not commonly seen where I live. I first ordered the color block version (which is beautiful) but it seemed to emphasize my middle problem area, so I easily exchanged it for the solid color. I have not had any problems getting it on or off. I don't think I'd be warn enough in this alone in very cold weather but I've worn it in temps 35-55 and light drizzle with a turtleneck, thermal top, or t-shirt as was perfectly comfortable. I feel sporty and youthful when I wear it, in fact I'd say it takes 20 years off, haha.

Bought two of this style of jackets. One in bright orange or something and one in navy. I am sorry I was not able to buy the black. Bean always was out of petite in my size.
Yesterday, went to 8300ft. to first snow of season in Southern California. I wore a light fleece long underwear shirt under this jacket and was warm at 22 degrees as long as I kept walking. Felt a little wind threw jacket. If I had worn another layer, I would have been plenty warm and I know this jacket is not designed for full on winter, which is what 22 degrees at 8300ft is. The wind chill brought temps down to18. But jacket do a good job in spite of its limitations for this kind of weather

I’m getting a little nervous. It’s already September. A cold front is coming through and I don’t see any new Katahdin Insulated Pullovers. I have them in blue, black, the fair-isle sweater patterned red and a gold/gray color block. I was really looking forward to buying a new one for my family to give me for Christmas. š What gives, LL Bean? I’ve basically retired my sweatshirt material hoodies and now wear these instead. They look sharper and offer far better protection from the elements while still being oh-so-comfy. Please give us some new Katahdin pullovers for this fall and winter!

Best jacket ever! I’ve waited so long for this to come back in stock. Warm but light weight, water resistant, and perfect for morning walks. Love the front pocket too!

This jacket is wonderful for layering with fleece under. It blocks the wind and is fairly water repellent. I just bought two more. I now have navy, red, black and sugarplum. I absolutely love them.
Walking dog, checking chickens and work in avocado orchard. Oh, and coffee in morning at coffee shop with friends. Do I recommend this jacket? Yes, yes and yes!

I got a size that would allow a sweatshirt underneath. Perfect for the dog park.

Love it! Just spent a week in Montana and wore this everyday. Hiking, mountain biking in sun and rain, just added/subtracted layers underneath as needed. (5’5 115- xs is perfect)

I got this jacket last year & have loved it, so when my daughter saw it she really liked it, so I surprised her with the same one. She loves it as well. It’s comfy!

Looks just like the picture. Fits as expected and keeps you warm.

Ok, LL, here’s my 2 cents. Take the hood from the Mountain Classic Anorak and put it on this jacket and you’ll have yourself a 5 star winner. The fit on this jacket is as expected, but the hood is lacking. It barely comes to my forehead and there is no overhang, so if it’s windy, rainy or snowy, it’s all going right in my face. Why skimp on the hood for a hooded jacket??? Of course, the quality is excellent, but the design needs tweaking.

It’s perfect weight for mid-autumn into winter. True to size, nice pockets. Can’t wait until it gets cold outside!

My daughter loves her new jacket.
We bought the black.
