Wow this coat is great! I never thought I’d find a longer fleece coat like this and am so happy that LLBean has proved me wrong!
I live in the PNW so having a good coat arsenal is crucial. This jacket is perfect for those colder days that aren’t too cold but not cold enough to warrant bringing out the big guns aka full blown, big puffy winter coat. It’s also super cute so would be great to throw on with jeans or whatever for a day out where you may need a warm outer layer but don’t want to be burdened by something bulky.
For reference, I am tall and curvy; a consistent size L on top and 12/14 on the bottom. This coat fit very true to size although I could have sized up if I wanted to wear thick layers underneath. However, I would like to point out that fleece can be somewhat bulky and not necessarily slimming, so if I were to layer with this jacket I would personally most likely put on a vest over it rather that more things under it. That being said, the shape and fit of this fleece is super flattering.
I’ve had this coat for about a week now and it is very warm and comfortable but it is not wind proof. I was only wearing a T-shirt underneath so it would be better with a long sleeve but still noteworthy.
The lining is awesome in this jacket, I must say. I purchased the navy blue color which has a burnt orange lining. I don’t usually wear orange but having it as an accent is super fun.
Another plus is the two way zipper!! As a curvy woman this is absolutely essential for me when purchasing outerwear. I have cleared my closet of anything without one because I just don’t wear them. I love being able to adjust the zipper at the bottom to make sitting down possible with the jacket still closed up for the most part. Absolutely 100% necessary in my book.
Another solid win from LLBean, I highly recommend this coat!

I had been eyeing this coat for more than a year and finally decided to make a purchase this year. The style is really cute, but the sleeves and shoulders run small. I normally wear a size XS in LL Bean clothing, but I purchased a size S to have room to layer. I’m 5’6″, 118 lbs.
Well, there was no room for layering in the sleeves and shoulders. I then purchased a medium, but the body was way too big, so I returned both coats. What a shame because the coat is well made, and I liked the styling, but the sizing in the sleeves and shoulders needs to be fixed.

Main body is correct fit. Sleeves are too tight. Otherwise a great coat.

It’s exactly what I wanted. Fit is roomy enough for a layer underneath if necessary, but warm by itself. Length is great and love the 2 way zipper.

It’s OK. The large size I ordered was a little tight, so I returned it for an XL. This one is too big; in the body and also the sleeves are too long. Wish I had kept the first one. However, it is warm so I’m keeping this one. Also I wish Bean would quit putting their logos on their clothes. If I’m going to advertise for a company, I should get paid.

Handsome coat! Love the color and the little extra length. Nice alternative to black winter puffer coats. I did have to go up a size so I could wear a sweater under it.

I love the look and construction of this coat.
I feel it was cut on the smaller side of petite medium but the large would be too large. I put on a turtleneck and very light sweatshirt and the coat felt snug in the upper arms and shoulder.
It is super warm so not too much needs to be under it.

Love the color and weight of the jacket. Love the lining helps with wind resistance. The length is perfect- stays put to cover my bottom. (Will be especially helpful when sitting on cold metal bleachers.)
Pockets are good. Only reason for not giving it five stars is because I wish it had a way to cinch the waist/ snug up the fit a bit when I don’t need to wear layers underneath. I ordered the medium, which is my standard size. The jacket is roomy with some fitted shape. I debated exchanging for a smaller size but want the flexibility to wear a thick sweater underneath on mild winter days.

Pros: it is warm, toasty, and comfortable.
Cons: sizing can be off (I tried on multiple size M, some fit tighter/looser), and the lining could be softer, less scratchy.
All in all, I do love the coat and can’t wait to wear it once the weather turns cold.

I’ve been looking at this fleece jacket since last year. It’s attractive and I like the natural color however…………why do you keep putting the label on your clothing for women. I would buy more items from you if you would please remove the label. There are several places that your design team could accent with the LLBean logo or name in a more subtle way.

This is an amazing fleece. With fall fast approaching, I wanted something that could give me extra warmth while I’m out and about with my son. I will say that I originally got a PXS (my usual size) but felt that it was too perfect/snug of a fit if I wanted to use a sweater underneath. Highly recommend this fleece jacket!
