Well, the green is a beautiful color….other than that – going back: too thin, tight across the chest, back, arms, shoulder areas. Got a PL, I am about 140 lbs. 5’2″. Not overly “busty”. Could not raise my arms, could not stand up straight without the jacket pulling across the front. This needs to be redone: I wish frankly, LLBean would stop trying to compete with “fashion-forward” companies and go back to what they did best: sporty clothes for active women. I am now a customer for over 40 years (yikes!), and clothes I bought years ago still fit, but many items I have purchased more recently have gone right back. Sad….and when I do get something good, Bean stops making it (case in point: womens hunting coat now discontinued – the one just like the mens’). I am wearing an old loden green barn coat, straight style, with all those nice pockets, I could use a new one but they all have the “princess seams”. I haven’t had a princess figure for some time!

Just what I was looking for – a jacket that is a stop up from a casual puffer coat. The perfect weight for Fall and running errands. Nice cord trim on collar and zipper. the only improvement I would have liked is zippers on the pockets.

This jacket is surprisingly warm, but keep in mind it’s meant for early to mid fall weather. It offers protection from wind and insulates very well. That said, I began to feel the cold when it was colder than 45 degrees and windy. So while you will need a heavier coat if you’re braving New England winters, this is the perfect mid level coat to get you from early fall to early winter temperatures. Plus it’s also very flattering and stylish; I’ve gotten multiple compliments on it and it goes with most outfit combinations.

I ordered an XL Petite. It fit me perfectly (5’3″ 170) The front opening is the best, a two-way zipper covered with snaps, no peek holes. I live in New York City and I do not even own a car, but I got a yen for an equistrian look.(I saw a riding jacket on an English fashion and clothing site that caught my fancy). This was just what I wanted. The sleeves are about 2″ too long on me. I folded up the sleeves to reveal the very lovely plaid lining that gives the jacket even extra pizazz. It looks like the jacket has cuffs. Yes, I would recommend it to a friend.

Does keep me as warm as I thought it would, surprised to be so let down.

Love this jacket!!
Very true to size!!!
High quality fabric

I love the weight of this jacket and it fits perfectly. My only complaint is the zipper. I wish it was not a two way zipper. Sometimes it can be slightly difficult to unzip.

This is my second . First one in the olive green shade now blue. Its the most comfortable jacket ever! Lightweight, not bulky and it accommodates a fleece or light sweater underneath.i don’t usually write reviews but this jacket is the best. by the way, my daughter has one also!

Ran to small for myself, X-Large petite. Returned it.

Versatile and comfortable. Love it. Adjustable waistband is a nice touch.

This jacket is lovely! It really dresses up an outfit. The fit is perfect for me in my usual size of PM. I love the contrasting plaid lining. The snaps on the sleeve make it easy to turn back the cuff to shorten the sleeve a little and show off the lining.

You nailed it, LLBean! The under-the-bum length, style, quality, and olive green color are perfect! I appreciate it when jackets are not bulky but keep you warm and allow ample room for a sweater underneath. Looking forward to wearing it during a fall trip to Alaska.

I wish more attention to detail was paid with the style of LLB’s products. For instance, the corduroy under the collar, why not put it on top? Also, some contrasting piping, maybe a leather or the same collar corduroy, on the sleeve and edge of the jacket would have really upped the style on this jacket. It is nice but so plain.

Great fit – tailored and sharp – bought it in Gold with the navy plaid lining for fall. Has nice adjustable tabs if you want it more fitted

I love the jacket but seriously there is a zipper problem. Went to my local store and tried on several of the same size jackets. Two of the jacket’s zipper jammed at the store and I was very gentle with the zippers. Otherwise, this is a very nice jacket that is flattering, does well with a layer underneath when the weather dips. The buttons are somewhat difficult to open and close. Perhaps toggles would be a better choice?

I just didn’t think this jacket was worth what is being charged – at all. I don’t like nylon linings, they’re too slick and cold in the winter. Just not up to LL Bean’s normal quality. Returning.

The zipper doesn’t work well. It gets stuck and can’t unzip. I returned it. Seemed like a great jacket if it didn’t have such a critical flaw.
DY1234 –
The other reviewers are correct about the zipper on this jacket. I, too, thought it was just this particular jacket, but all of them have zippers that get stuck. I ordered the deep olive color, but when it arrived the color was lighter than the photo. It is more of a cactus color than a deep olive. The jacket fit me really well, so it’s unfortunate that I will be returning because of the faulty zipper and color.

This jacket is really nice and I love the style. However, it does not fit exactly like it should in the shoulders and arms. Also, it’s a little thinner, less warm, than I thought it would be. I kept it because the fit wasn’t too bad but I just wish it were a little better.
Eprower –
Though I thankfully did not encounter the same zipper issue that everyone seems to experience, I wasn’t totally impressed with this jacket. The fit is boxy and not tailored like the photo. I felt frumpy wearing it. I did get a medium, but if I size down to a small, I don’t think I’ll be able to wear a sweater underneath. It seems decent quality, but for $156, I just wasn’t in love with it. I was really hoping it worked out, I desperately need a fall jacket!
