Bought this for my husband to replace a cheap vest someone gave him as a gift when the zipper gave out after only a year of wear. I talked him into spending the money on his first piece of L.L. Bean clothing by explaining that it's worth it to spend a little more initially for something that is likely to last for years and years. He loves the vest! Sharp-looking, cozy, and the perfect chilly day layer on its own, or under something else on a colder or rainy day.

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. The fit is great, the fabric has a nice feel and it is the perfect weight of not too heavy or light. It is great for days when a long sleeve sweater is too warm but he needs another layer over a shirt. I bought him the dark grey and it looks good with all colors.

Fits a bit too tight. I’m used to getting small and couldn’t even zip up. I changed to Medium and it was still very snug. Perhaps it should be clearer that a slimfit can be really tight.

Had a fleece vest many moons ago. It was wonderful. I wore it constantly for probably 10 years. Then I lost it, so I ordered another one, expecting the same quality product. I was wrong. First, the size was wrong. The last vest was an XL, but the current XL was more of a medium. I had to go to 2XL tall to get a good fit. Second, the weave is more .for lack of a better wordfeminine. Maybe that has become the style nowadays, but not for me and a “work and play” vest. Sorry folks

Fits a lady’s body very nicely. The women’s design was way too long in the back for my tastes, so went with the Men’s Vest. I bit warmer than I thought-hoped, but very very nice. And really like the chest pocket. A keeper!

It’s a nice medium weight vest that fits well. I’m 5’8″, 155 lbs and the medium was a very good fit. The pockets are all zippered and very functional. I do wish the collar wasn’t quite as tall as it is for casual wear.

Good quality materials with good quality workmanship and a generic design which includes a pocket for a smart phone that is roomy enough for most–mine is a diminuative sized iPhone SE, but I could put a big iPhone and be sure it would be zipped against falling out. and if you want to feel like a pack animal there is a pocket for a notebook sized computer, I think–I occasionally carry a Kindle Paperwhite in it.

This is a well made product, but too heavy for Europe this year. I did not realize it had been slightly tapered, raising the internal temperature even more.
