This is my second jacket of this style. It fits perfectly, is warm and water resistant. Great for visits to England, on those misty mornings on the narrowboat on a river or canal out in the countryside!

Lost my last “warm up” jacket from LL Bean – – – replaced with same because it is a high quality, well tailored jacket and had held up well considering it had almost daily usage. Also, much warmer and seemed to be better against wind protection than other jackets I had of this weight.

The zipper finally gave out on the old one. This arrived on the hottest day of the year to date, so I’ve only just tried it on for fit. I’m looking forward to wearing it in the cooler weather this fall and early winter.

I think I have 5 or 6 Bean fleece lined warm-up jackets but a couple of them are plaid flannel lined. They are perfect for late Sept- late Apr here in the Adirondacks & incredible at keeping wind & rain out. The style and cut hasn’t changed much over the years, although I prefer the sewn on cream background label on the left chest vs having LL Bean embroidered in the same place in the same color as the jackets exterior. Maybe an extra chest pocket with parallel zipper on the outside and inside as I carry 2 cell phones. Plus we all love having that exterior chest pocket that ALL LL Bean fleece jackets should have, regardless the polar tech fleece level of 200 up to 600+. Being a LL Bean customer since the ’60’s should count for something like a lifetime warranty on everything I buy with a LL Bean label.

I trap and this jacket holds up very well against briars and other such sharp vegetation. Sheds water as well. And Bean still repairs it.

This is my second “men’s warm-up jacket.” After many years of wear my watch wore out the cuff on the first warm-up jacket I owned–I liked it so much I bought a new one in a different color. I find the jacket just right for most of Seattle’s typical winter weather. Only during heavy rains and cold days below about 38 degrees is it not adequate. I bought my brother a warm-up jacket as a Christmas gift a few years ago and he likes it, too!

I ordered this coat for my husband in a large regular. He has broad shoulders but narrower below. He prefers a coat with a waistband and wristbands and this is perfect. His waist is 35″ and he is 5’11”. It is hard to find coats like this, so this will work perfectly. We really like LLBean clothing for fit and durability and are very pleased with this purchase.He couldn’t have found a jacket that fit better than this. Also, we used the military discount and appreciate you offering this discount.

This is the third warm up jacket like this that I have had over the last 13 years from L.L. Bean. They are comfortable and warm in the fall and early spring and it’s easy to layer underneath them in the winter, with a vest, flannel shirt, hoody or watch cap and stay just as cozy. They do wear out around the wrists after about 3 or 4 years, but the rest of the jacket stays in great shape. I keep the old ones as knockabouts. I also love the zippered inside pocket. It’s a great place to carry your wallet or phone. The zippered outer pockets are nice too, when you want to run out of the house for a minute and not put on gloves. They are lined and comfortable and will also keep your keys safe and secure when out shopping or any other activity. Highly recommend this jacket.
