Kandy –
Socks are nice looking for socks. Well made. My second pair. My first pair are 5 years old & look new. I only wear them when I go up north in cold climate.
Tomnewton –
I have plenty of heavy-weight wool socks. But they don’t fit so well in walking shoes. These midweight socks from Bean do. And they still fell very warm. These are exactly what I was looking for.
Chicago G –
Fit size 14 foot well even after washing! Recommend you buy these for any winter weather
Jufi788 –
The socks are as described on the website. I have worn them and my toes were warm in 20 degree weather.
Lj F –
Very comfortable socks. Love the merino wool. Keeps me warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.
Sam B –
More comfortable than socks from competitors, despite (or maybe because of) a higher wool content. Some other wool socks are as little as 40% Merino wool. They do well in the washing machine.
Cold F –
These socks are amazing. My feet get unusually cold and these socks, along with my fabulous boots, have made it possible for me to be outside during the winter. I have three pairs and hope to get more next winter! The sizing is rather confusing since they do not say if they are going by men or women’s sizing. I wear a small sock and wear a women’s 7.5 shoe.
Hiker M –
I wore them hiking today. They were comfortable and not sweaty.
Mawi –
Great socks, warm and cushioned just as expected. Also cute color.
Patti –
Hubby’s favorite socks have been discontinued. He’s been trying different brands. He really loves the comfort and fit with these. I think I found my new socks
Goldenbear49 –
I purchased these last year, must have been a sale, 2 pairs for $20. When I purchased this year, $20 a pair…but, OMGoodness, the fit is perfect, well worth the price. Wear them every day… hold up well, shape stays turn to fit. Thanks. Another sale would be nice š
Displaced M –
Fit great, feel comfy, wear them all the time, great socks!

Good sock in all aspects, first reinforce the positive – made in the USA well done. Maybe a goal for next season, start using USA produced wool? Most people have experienced / exposed to the farm to table movement, please consider joining the Farm to Clothing movement and buy AMERICAN WOOL thanks for you consideration

My wife loves these and would like more “feminine” colors added.
GadgetMaven –
I wear these mid-weight with my Allagash oxfords. I use the heavy-weight with hiking boots.
Mary –
I like these socks. They fit well and they’re warm. They seem to be the same style and quality as LL Bean socks I bought years ago and those have worn well.
PaulForchio –
Nice socks. Well made, comfortable. I can’t speak to durability, because they are new. I don’t usually like wool, but these don’t bother me.
Kevin –
I have worn them for years in the colder weather with work boots at consturction sites. My feet are warm and comfortable.
Frogbottom –
Comfortable wool socks will be enjoyed by roommate, when it gets cooler again in San Francisco.
Sally –
Great wool socks that keep your feet warm all through the colder seasons. They wear quite well, and have lasted years so far. Our family has purchased many pairs of these wool socks for ourselves and as gifts. Please add some new colors in the women’s sizes.
Naomi –
My Husband and I have owned these socks which we purchased at LLBean and they have lasted so long – even with my Husband’s “killer toes”.
I have tried two other brands of wool socks and they didn’t hold up like these do, so these will be the only brand we buy from now on.
Walt –
These socks are superb to wear with L L Bean Boots as well as hiking shoes. The size is true to fit and retain their wearability for years. They are a great example of Bean products being the best.
Nancy –
These socks are very comfortable and warm. They will last for years even after many washings. Besides purple is my favorite color!
An L –
I have been wearing LL Bean clothes and gear in adverse conditions for decades. They ae both bombproof and reasonable priced.
MsTeapot –
I was so happy to see them offered in green. I had many of these in the pretty purple and gray from back before LLBean went to the unisex sizing. I’ve been wanting green for a long time. I remember a teal being offered a few years back, but I don’t wear teal much. I wear forest and olive green much more often. Luckily, the medium size still works for me. I think they’re slightly roomier, but since they’re wool, it’s very easy to shrink them a little. The trick is to shrink them just enough, but not too much!
