Overall, I like this bag. I bought it to use as a beach bag. It’s roomy, and the zippered pocket and zippered top were great to keep my belongings safe at the beach. The bag is sturdy, holds quite a bit, and is water resistant on the bottom and inside. The carrying strap made it easy to carry to and from the beach. The only issue I ran into was that the dye from the brown leather L.L.Bean logo bled. This caused brown stains on the bag and a dye transfer stain on some clothing when I was carrying the bag. I did get the canyon khaki/blue haze color, so perhaps a darker color is the way to go to hide any staining. The only recommendation for cleaning the bag is to spot clean with mild soap, which did nothing to remove the stains. I like the bag, but am disappointed with the staining. Be mindful of how you’re using the bag and maybe choose a darker color if there is any chance of it getting damp/wet.

The bag is attractive, sturdy, roomy, and mostly well designed. Stitching another set of three pockets on the opposite inside of the bag would be very helpful. That would avoid having to search the bottomless abyss for smaller items. I will not lower my rating to make that point. The tote is too amazing for any penalties.

I was torn between this tote and another duffle from LL Bean, this one won over due to its durability, metal clasps and classic style. The size is great for a weekend bag or personal item for a flight. I’m confident it will hold up well for years to come.

I bought this to be my new carry on for airplanes. I have a lot of small stuff I need to carry on long trips that I can’t check. Batteries, iPad, chargers, etc. It’s great for all the items I need on hand. I used a backpack for years, but was running out of space. It’s a nice upgrade that I look forward to carrying for years to come. I got the black and olive, and I’m excited to see how it ages over time. I think it’s a simple, yet stylish bag that also fits aesthetically with my style and luggage.

I haven’t used it yet but the quality is great. I love that it has handles and a cross body strap. I also love that it’s really roomy BUT I wish it was just a touch smaller. I’m 5’6″ average frame, and feel that it’s about half my body size when I hold it! And it’s technically too big as a personal item for flying, which was one of my use cases (I’m going to carry it anyways and see if I get away with it. I think as long as I don’t pack it full, it will be fine, but I wish it was “official” to be safe)

The perfect soccer mom bag. At first I thought it may be too big for what I wanted (just something to hold snacks, bug spray, and sports paraphernalia for practice and game days) but the very first week I had it filled to the brim! So happy to have the water resistant bottom for damp /muddy fields.

This is a perfect bag for work. I can fit my lunch bag and laptop, etc. The small pockets inside are perfect for my cell phone and keys. On rainy days there is plenty of room for adding an umbrella.

I ordered the green/black regular size Nor’easter Bag and it’s the perfect size for my flute, and music when I practice with my band and community orchestra. The zipper pocket inside is just right for my tuner, flute stand, and metronome. There are two pockets for odds and ends also. I was unsure if I would like the color, but I really do! I added a musical ornament to the outside to make it look musical. The handles and shoulder strap work well too. I looked for a long time to find the perfect bag and I did! Thank you, LLBEAN!

This is THE PERFECT bag to use as a carry on. The full length top zipper is perfect for securing all items in the bag when stowing under the seat in front of you. The bag is sturdy while stylish and holds so much. It easily held a neck pillow, sweatshirt, purse, snacks and water bottle. The inside top pocket was a great place to hold my phone. The body strap is perfect to crisscross to free up hands while walking through the airport. It has quickly become my favorite for travel.
