I’ve had this monogrammed behemoth for 21 years (got it as a wedding present for myself when my initials changed) and it’s been all over the world on planes, trains, automobiles and of course boats. It has been checked baggage, carry-on, tossed in the trunk 1000 times, and notably, left out in the snow on the tarmac in Minneapolis in January (contents barely damp even after 90 minutes!!).
Undaunted and undiminished, the tote abides. I machine wash it on *cold* in a front-loader, and air dry completely before tossing in the dryer with towels just to soften it up a little, but it has stood the rest of time. Carries groceries, sewing machines, muddy boots, a weekend getaway’s worth of clothes, shoes and books, and even (just once, unzipped!!) a toddler on a subway (sitting up, laughing uproariously). It’s a *little* weighty when empty, but that’s how you measure its sturdiness and durability, in my opinion.
You won’t regret getting this bag; get one for your bestie, too!!

I have always loved the Tote Bags but the handles have always been too short, I love the option of now adding long handles, it makes all the difference. I wish you would offer them on the nylon bags.
