Well I purchased another hat and the qualities are great too! Fits perfectly, string tie is perfect, light, brim will definitely keep the sun off my face, color is beautiful and goes great with a lot of other colors, washes beautifully (handwashed in cold water only)! My husband really likes it too. Need my neighbor to see this one on me since she loved the other one I purchased – “Pistil Lotus Hat”. Thank you for another great hat! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

The fit was smaller than expected but I like the tight fit. The chin strap is detachable and that really convenient when I don’t want it dangling. The label says the material is all polyester but it feels like sturdy cotton. The brim is wide enough to block the late afternoon sun

Stood up to the wind, sand, and sun! Very glad it has the chin strap. I did not get a burn on my neck or face while at the beach, and I wore it in the water along with my Bean beach cover-up! I wear it to walk the dogs around the neighborhood and take my campers on nature walks. Sturdy and practical. Recommend. You might have to retie the chin strap into its loop but I didn’t consider that a big deal.

Perfect fishing hat! Stays put in a breeze. Comfortable. Good quality. Doesn’t flatten your hair style too much. And does an excellent job of keeping the sun off your face. I wore mine while trout fishing in the La Sal mountains near Moab, UT.

This brim hat fits well, and has an adjustable cord to keep it on. It’s great for gardening, or for going for a walk in the sun. The brim gives good coverage without getting in the way.

This is one GREAT hat!! I walk approximately 3 miles a day outside here in Las Vegas, Nevada. With morning temps in the 90’s and the sun beating down, this hat is the best hat I’ve ever found for protecting my head and neck. The hat is comfortable, cool, and the brim is adjustable to tighten or loosen the brim. Make sure to measure your head before ordering since the measurements are spot on. I did tighten the knots holding the chin strap to the hat in order to avoid the problems some reviewers wrote about previously. The strap is thin and the holder on it could lock a little more securely but I’ve been out on extremely windy days out here and the strap does its job! On top of everything else, the hat looks great! I’ve gotten compliments from both men and women.

So far I like this hat. It fits me well, Does what I want it to do, keep sun off my head and neck. Time will tell but I’ve have good luck with LL Bean products in the past.

Thankfully this sunhat has a string to hold it on, comes in a size Small and has a buckle to fine tune the size adjustment. Having grown weary of “one size fits all” (ha!) I am pleased to locate this hat. The brim is sturdy enough that it does require the attached string to hold the hat on in breezy conditions. Dermatologist wants shading, so, LL Bean you’ve made her a happy doctor.
