Bought this for my husband to replace an older one he uses for working in the yard. He is very pleased with this onecolor is perfect a darker blue than the original. He also has a tan one for a more dressy occasion like running errands, outdoor events. No problem with strap fastener.

I bought this hat as the images showed no logos. Next to the logo printed on the front of the hat is also the sunblock rating, “L.L.Bean UPF 50+”, just in case you need to remind those near you why you bought the hat. My friend said it looked like something a knockoff would do. Otherwise, it’s a nice hat.
The slide on the chin strap is a hard plastic loop that works well. Mentioning as they seem to have updated this relative to previous reviews.

The wide brim is awesome! Love that the hat comes in different sizes. Thanks for improving the chin strap slide piece! The new plastic slide is much easier to use than the previous foam piece.

I have purchased 4 of these hats before. I still like the style and the fact that the neck flap folds easily away. But I am very disappointed to see the LL bean logo with UPF 50+ on the hat!! I know what I bought and that it has sun protection but I do not like advertising it. I wear these hats out and about. Several people ask me where I got them and I gladly tell them but I do not like being a walking billboard! Please remove the logo!

This light-weight hat is cool and fits comfortably, and the French Foreign Legion-style neck and ear covering improves its protection. The dark underside of the brim reduces glare.
But one should still wear uv-blocking sunglasses and use sunblock.Even in Minnesota

I love this hat. I wear it when mowing my fields, which takes a week. I live in the mountains 6,880 feet above sea level. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun is intense up here. The temperature may be in the 80s or 90s but I wear long sleeve shirts, jeans, and boots as well as this hat. This hat is cooler (temperature wise) than my previous solution which was a wide brimmed hat (common out here in cowboy country) with a rag tucked under the hat to cover the back of my neck. This hat is better.

Replacing an older model of the same style hat. Fantastic, comfortable, lightweight sun hat. Dries quickly when wet. Brim is stiff enough to prevent fold over when mildly to moderately windy. Love that the color is darker under the brim. Newest model has a ridiculous LLBEAN UPF 50 logo printed on the side of the hat in dark, large font. Looks really stupid and cheap. Seriously contemplating returning the hat for this reason alone. Reading other reviews, I’m not alone in that opinion. LLBean designers, get rid of the obnoxious logo.
