Beth –
My almost 8yo has been wearing out shoes within days (sometimes hours!!) and these have lasted at least a months and still going strong ( no signs of wear & tear at all!). Will be returning to LL bean for summer camp shoes for both kids soon! These shoes are 10/10!

I am a senior citizen so it took me a minute to put the shoe on. At least for me the tongue kept sliding back into the shoe. I did have ample space to pull the tongue into proper position without having to remove the shoe. The left shoe fit looser than the right which has not previously been an issue . While walking both shoes slipped and again the left more so than the right. I needed 2 heel pads to minimize the slipping. I was wearing somewhat thick socks at the time. Still I think the shoe is a good investment especially for children!

Simple to slide on; my guys have found these offer plenty of support and suffice for traction for all their adventurous and rugged activities.
