I wanted to love this. I had a waffle weave sweatshirt and some waffle weave tees from years past that I loved and wore to their death. I saw this and hoped it was a replacement for those items, but it didn’t even come close. I bought both the faded jade and carbon navy colors, as I’ve been on a navy blue kick lately and I love anything that shade of green. I thought for sure I’d love both of these. I tried on the green one first. The material was a lot thinner than I was expecting, but I thought that I’d try it on anyway, and maybe it would be good for spring and cool summer nights. It didn’t fit well… The shoulder seams were WAY off shoulder (lower than my biceps), and the torso seemed a bit snug. It just looked sloppy, like pajamas that have been slept in. I don’t think I could size up because the shoulders are already way too big. I had it on for about two minutes, and when I took it off and folded it up to put it back in the bag, the “waffles” already look stretched out and the shape was distorted. I never even tried on the navy shirt because the fit and material were just never going to work for me. I could do better for 1/3 of the price somewhere else. This is not at $70 tee shirt! I gave it two stars instead of one because I like the concept of a waffle hoodie, but you’ve just got to do better than this. This is not what L.L.Bean quality is supposed to be!

A good mid-season hoodie. I like to wear it on walks- it is a good weight for the early morning . The only thing that would make it more perfect – a pouch pocket in the front for keys and odds & ends.

I didn’t like the size (my fault–should have ordered petite) or the fabric (thin, limp and clingy, three things I don’t like in a hoodie.) I assumed it would be cotton or mostly cotton–it’s not. Again, my fault–gotta read all the fine print.

Great long thin look. I bought the blue and grey. I love them both. I’m 5’2 128lbs and bought medium. The fit is perfect. I wear them with shorts, stretch pants, and jeans. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it gets pulls if you are not careful. I was able to use a pin and pull them to the inside. I would love to have black and more clothing with that size and length. I feel that a lot of the LL Bean shirts are getting too wide.

Whether it’s Nature’s cooling breeze, or stepping into an air conditioned space, this Women’s Soft Stretch Waffle Hoodie makes for a comfortable top layer. It’s not too heavy, feels comfortable, has extra coverage in back, and looks great! FYI, I turn it inside-out before washing to prevent pilling, which so far has worked!

This would probably work on someone taller. I ordered my usual Petite Medium but it was too long on me. It measured 28 inches long and 42 inches wide in the chest. Nice material and color (navy) but rather shapeless and unflattering (the only thing it showed off was my tummy), especially with the dropped shoulder. Should have order the Ultrasoft sweatshirt instead for a more flattering fit. As someone mentioned, the cuffs seem a bit tight. Thought the neck opening was a little small also. LL Bean, please list some garment measurements online– for ex, length and chest measurement for reg and petite. Your customer service doesn’t provide that information anymore.

Nice shirt. Like the fit and length. Got the light green, don’t love the color, but the choices were not that great. I hate navy, and the other colors were blah. But it is super comfy and looks nice. I wish there were some better colors, if there were, I would buy another.
