Many reviews have said too heavy. The fabric is heavy but that doesn’t make it hot. It is really cool on hot days. The fit is a bit loose and I like it. Great untucked. I’d only go untucked with it do to the fabric weight.

I bought several of these in blue, as well as some in woodsmoke for work. They’re the best work shirts I’ve found for when it’s hot, as well as for more typical days of cooler temperatures. Also great for casualwear, date-night, or beachwear. My only wish is that they came in a slightly-fitted variant and perhaps with more colors to choose from, like the silver birch long sleeve version (wish there was a short sleeve version of that), or adding a seafoam green or hunter green option. I’ve basically created a uniform out of my collection blue and woodsmoke for work and I’ve never felt more comfortable. For reference, I’m 5’10 and about 190 lbs. Very broad muscular build with a 45 inch chest, and the regular large fits me almost perfectly off the rack. I just have them tailored to about what a typical L.L.Bean slightly-fitted fit would be and then they’re absolutely perfect for me. Highly recommend. Very comfortable and breathable with the perfect amount of stretch.

I’ve bought several Chambray shirts over the years and the ones now are made with a heavier material. It’s ok for long sleeve shirts in cooler weather but the heavy material isn’t great for hot and humid summer weather. The earlier shirts were fit nicely and didn’t feel heavy on your skin and breathed better. Also, the untucked fit is awful. It’s too short and I had to exchange the shirt in a tall size for it to fit better. The new material does feel heartier and more rugged and may last longer but I liked the lighter material for summer wear.
