This is one of my favorite recent purchases from Bean. Although it’s supposed to be a base layer, I’ve chosen to wear it as a fleece with a much lighter (also a Bean item) base layer under it. It’s colorful and fun and coordinates with almost anything you want to pair it with. It is warm and washes beautifully and there is no shrinkage. Of course, you could use it as a base layer, but why not show it off!

Since this is a “base layer,” I expected it to be thinner material. The fleece is pretty plump, I could not wear it under the sweater I had in mind. As a base, it is also slim fitting. I found the sleeves to be too roomy. On the plus side, this is really soft and warm and feels good against your skin. Also pretty.
