Perfect Robe for me. Soft and flowing, doesn’t bind, and isn’t stiff. Also, just the right length for me (although I do occasionally step on the bottom while walking up stairs. I am 5’7″ so this may be longer on others). Washes well, as the coffee that I spilled on it did not stain.
Warm enough on very cold Northern winter mornings, but light enough to not be too hot during our warm humid summers.

Ordered this robe after sending one back from a competitor that was too bulky and hot. It looked as though I was wearing a plaid sleeping bag. Terribly unflattering! I like this robe because the weight is right for Kentucky winters. It’s cozy but not heavy. I haven’t washed it, but will treat it gently as I do my Bean flannel shirts and hang it to dry. It is lighter in weight than most of my flannel shirts so if you are expecting a heavy weight flannel you will be disappointed. The petite length was mid calf and sleeves roll up easily if you are cooking breakfast. After reading reviews, I had a few concerns but this robe matched my needs and I am happy I purchased it.

Beautiful feel , soft & snuggly small fits great / 5’6″ & 117 lbs.
AJ –
Very comfy flannel robe. I love the long length for the cold winter mornings. Great quality.

I love my robe! It fits great (size large)! I’m a curvy grandmother 5’4″ and the length is perfect. It doesn’t go to the floor mid calf which is great. It also does not have huge cuffs so I can do dishes, cook, etc without bulky sleeves getting in the way. Not heavy either just right, feels like a flannel shirt. Warm for our Maine winters! Don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed. I’m getting another one for my summer home!

Good fit. Warmer than I expected in a light robe. Like it.

I love L.L. Bean’s flannel so much that this winter after shoulder surgery on November 29 I decided to treat myself. I bought this robe and two gowns and a pajama set. Lovely to sleep in and so soft! I will not buy anyone else’s flannel.
Clay –
I absolutely LOVE this robe from the vivid colors and the true to size fit to it’s beyond coziness and comfort that I feel each and every time I wear it!!!!!
Nene –
This garnet is lightweight but warm. The quality of the flannel and construction is why I own two of the nightgowns. I wore a previous gown down to the threads. I expect to do the same with this robe.
Granny –
I love this bathrobe. I wish I could wear it all day long!! It is very soft. I am always looking for 100% cotton for my sensitive skin. I ordered a petite one size bigger than my usual size so that it is roomy and comfortable but not sloppy.

Fannel too light. Not warm at all, even for cool mornings in SC. Very disappointed.
SC T –
I have three of these. Please make more colors. Very cozy robes.

I have my original robe from the 80’s . Thought this would be a replacement..not made in the US, not Bean quality. So goes the wirld..
Penny T –
Wonderfully soft, long, and comfy robe is well-constructed. It’s generously sized, as a robe should be, and I needn’t have ordered up.
I have washed it. No problem with shrinkage or pilling–just the same soft flannel for which LL Bean is known. I really wanted a chamois cloth robe because that’s what I’ve worn for years and years, but I don’t miss it–this is superb.

This robe is soft and well made. I enjoy wearing it

I live in North AL. I wanted a nice and pretty lightweight robe. I got this in June. Been wearing it off and on just lately. I like wearing it ALOT! I like the pockets are straight in, not at a diagonal. I can slip things in and out easy. The fabric is super soft and light weight not see through. The red plaid I got is so super cute. I think the length could be a tad longer. And the tie a tad bit heavier. But over all I am super pleased. It has a tie on the inside like most all womens robes do. It is late August and I am wearing it around the house and out side in the mornings. Got horses to feed! I didn’t want a heavy robe. I have a heavy robe, and it is heavy to deal with. I don’t like heavy robes around the house. Too cumbersome. This is super cute in the red plaid. I giggle every time I see it. Cute! Ya see me in a red plaid robe inside, or outside, then so be it. I am styling in a classy LLBean robe!

The Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe was an excellent purchase. I ordered a medium and it is a good fit. The flannel is so very soft and extremely comfortable to wear. I highly recommend this product.

Makes me want to curl up by a fire with a good book.

Nice robe very light weight not a winter robe . I wish L.L.Bean would bring back the lined flannel woman’s robe.
TAmmy –
I love my robe! It’s simply perfection soft, cozy, warm but not overly so. Perfect!
Kkkkkkkkk –
I washed it when I came home. When I took it out of the washing machine, the floor was full of lint, and I do mean full of lint . The lint holder in the drier was so thick with lint. Washing t a second time, the same thing happened. By the time I am done washing it, there will be no flannel in the robe. This is the
first time that this has happened. Like the robe but was very disappointed in the quality.
CPease –
The flannel is very thin, so not as cozy as I would like for a robe.
Juno2 –
I’m very happy with this robe. It’s a soft, lightweight flannel. It’s warm enough to transition to fall weather, but probably not warm enough for cold upper midwest winters. Generous fit and ankle length.
Sylvie –
Very soft and comfortable, I’ve been wearing it a lot.
Helen R –
This bathrobe looks grand, and the surface feel of it is also grand. But the fabric itself is too light to be of full service where we live year-round in northern Vermont. We heat our house with wood, have done so for more than 50 years, and look for Serious Warmth in our garments. From the looks of them, the people who appear in your advertisements are weekenders on a lark, not year-rounders, and don’t pertain to our conditions. I’ve welcomed this bathrobe into my life and wear it daily. But I would like it better if the lovely fabric were thicker. And, come to think of it, not so electrostatic. The fine crumbs i engender when I bite my morning toast stick to the fabric and don’t brush off easily.
