I bought these for my husband for Christmas 2020 and by the beginning of December 2021 they had worn through the fleece lining, and they no longer hold their shape in the heel of the shoe. These replaced the LL Bean mocs I got for him in 2014, so there’s definitely been a huge decline in quality of manufacturing the slippers. Zappos wasn’t able to help because they were worn and it was outside the return window. I am reaching out to LL Bean to see if they can do anything.

Slippers are great. Very high quality. I will say that this in-between style is great in theory but maybe not in practice. I have had scuffs and normal full-heeled versions and was expecting a best of both worlds compromise here. Instead, I find myself wishing I had just chosen one style or teh other. The heel is not tall enough to keep the slipper on, but not low enough to lay flush with the footbed, so I end up standing on the edge of the heel more often than not. Not a knock on the slipper. Just on my choice of slippers.

I bought these for my elderly father (90) and HE LOVES THEM….the lower back keeps them from sliding off like a slipper would but warm that he can wear without having to put on socks!
