It is a little scratchy, but that’s what I was looking for. I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think you can fake scratchy. It reminds me of Old-world quality.
I love the thickness and the weight. The color is darker than I thought it would be, according to the catalog pictures. I would call mine brown, and I ordered natural.
Another big plus is the fit. I was a little leery of ordering an XL-Tall, but it does fit snugger than I thought it would, which again for me, is a plus. Body and sleeve length are what I was hoping for.
You won’t be disappointed!

This did not work well for me. I found the wool to be very thick – too thick and bulky, so I returned it. If you don’t mind a very think sweater, this might be fine.

Very comfortable and stretchy . It kept me warm when we lost heat with indoor temp in the 50s ! The back collar is a little overdone but I also wear over a hoodie.Not itchy at all. Feels heavy but cozy when wearing. I take a large and fits perfect.

Beautiful and warm. B-I-G. Purchased for my dad who is 6’2″ 185. Got the tall large. Very much too big. Could have purchased a medium regular and been closer to size. Might try again next yearit’s currently 87 degrees so no urge to buy a heavy sweater anymore!
