This sweater has a substantial feel without being heavy, and is warmer than most wool sweaters. That said, you can wear it as a shirt unless temps are seriously sub-freezing or midsummer scorching. I think it’s one of the best products LL Bean has ever sold.

I was shocked when I opened the package and took this out! (In a good way) This shirt must weigh 2 lbs! You could feel the quality! Then when I put it on I just wore it around the house for a while and it got hot! This is by far the best quality sweater I’ve ever worn! Thanks L.L. Bean! I just love my new sweater!

It was a nice sweater, but a bit large on my husband who is 6’2″ and about 220 lbs. in XXL. We also decided it was a bit too bulky for our climate here in the San Diego area. If it suits your climate it would be a great sweater, but it might run a bit large. We returned it. Thinking about which lighter weight one he might like.
