Nicely constructed, and the Medium fits my 5′ 8″ 150-pound body perfectly. The Dark Olive looks great. BUT, the fabric is very rough, it doesn’t feel at all fleece-y, and since I buy garments like this for comfort, I sent it back. For all I know it may break in wonderfully, but I wanted it softer from Day One.

I spoke to customer service before ordering this item since there are multiple reviews stating the sleeves are to long. I was told that is done on purpose to make sure the arms remain covered when reaching for something. I am ordering the X Large sweater and I was told the sleeve lenght is 37.5 " which will be long on me.

Bulky looking and tough to put on because the material grabs. I should have returned it. I have another one I bought a few years ago, non-sweater like and low pile, slightly fitted; much nicer but of course it's no longer available. Had I known it was going to be discontinued, I would have bought more.

After the first one of these had the trim fall off (on both sleeves), I went out on a limb and purchased another. Well, here it is less than 6 months later — and the same thing is happening. See photos.
I don’t know if the trim material is defective, or if the stitching was done wrong — but whatever the reason, the result is something that just does not last! In my view, it seems that the trim material is falling apart.
It’s too bad — because I love the fleece material and especially the colors (I’ve had both the red and the blue). And even worse, I’ve always come to LL Bean for my fleece — I’ve probably bought at least 10 or 12 over the years, and these are the first that I’ve had any problems with.

I had assumed I was ordering a Large Regular for my husband. However, it was a Large Tall. My husband is large, but not tall (unfortunately), so it was way too long for him! There was no mention of being able to choose Regular or Tall – just Regular, so this was a surprise.
