I purchased these boots for myself. I typically wear a women’s size 6 1/2 and the kids size 4 fit me better than any of the women’s sizes. They look just like the adult version. They keep my feet warm and dry. I would definitely recommend.

I have always wanted a pair of bean boots for women since forever but their smallest size 6 was too large for my feet. I recently discovered that bean now makes size 5 but then they are on back order till March. Instead of waiting, I looked into the bean boots for kids, read all the review and advices on sizes and decided to take a chance and ordered size 4 for myself (I wear size 6.5 – 7 women). The boots arrived right before the snow storm hit the east coast! Omg, I love, Love my boots. They are so comfortable right out of the box and they fit well ( enough room for mid thick socks if needed). Another bonus is that I was going to order the 6 inch boots for women, thinking I was too short for the 8″ (I am 5″2) but kids boots only come in the 8″. The hight gives me the extra warmth I needed and they look great! Not an issue at all.
If you have been wanting a pair of bean boots but can’t decide, go for it. Don’t hesitate, you will not regret it. I wish I had thought of ordering the kids bean boots sooner.

Received my boots a few days ago and I’m in love! I’ve wanted these boots for a long time and finally broke down and got a pair. I looked at all the reviews on which size I should pick and I went with a 4. Typically I wear a 6-6.5 in women’s shoes, but these fit perfect on my small narrow feet!! I recently purchased these boots and thought I could help others with sizing. I wear a 5 1/2 shoe and 6 boot/hiker (a European size 36 fits me perfectly). I bought the kids size 4. The 5 was too long and the 3 was too snug. They are quite comfortable and am happy with my purchase.

So, after pouring through reviews on both the women’s section and the kid’s section, and calling customer service, I finally figured out which size boot would be the best for me. I am a solid 5 in women’s shoes, the biggest size I can comfortably wear is 5 1/2. With that being said, I can wear (and do) size 3 in kid’s shoes. I spoke with a woman from customer service over the phone and explained to her that I have very small feet for my age (I’m 30), and she suggested ordering a kid’s size 2. The boot fits perfectly! I have a little space in the front, enough so that the boot fits, but my feet are not squashed into the top of the boot. So for anyone out there that has the same problem as me, and you are not sure which size to order, go for a size down. You won’t be disappointed. The smallest size in women’s bean boots is 5, so a 3 in kids, the 2 is a size down and would be a 4 in women’s shoes and they fit perfectly. I love my new boots and I can’t wait to break them in! The plus side to all of this is that normally a kid’s shoe is slightly different from adult shoes with regards to design, but these kid’s bean boots are exactly the same as the the adult bean boots. Wonderful quality!

I wear a size 6-6.5 in women’s shoes or a kid’s size 3. For these, I was nervous ordering a 3 because the sizing guide recommends ordering a size up, but I went with my gut & it worked. The boots fit like a glove and are not too tight or too loose. I have even tried them with heavier sets of socks & the fit is still perfect.
I am also extremely impressed by the quality. They are stylish while also providing maximum warmth. I would definitely recommend!

I wear a size 5 in women’s and I ordered a size 3. They arrived just in time for our first snow of the season. They fit perfectly. I was skeptical about how comfortable they would be because they were a bit stiff but I wore them all day and they were awesome! Would definitely recommend!

TL;DR
US W 6, order this specific boot in a size 4 and other unlined kids boots in a size 3. Per LLBean Customer Service: W's Bean boot size 6 = Kids Bean Boot size 4 (unlined) = US W's 7/7.5. W's Bean boot size 5 = Kids Bean boot size 3 (unlined) = US W's 6/6.5. I measure a US W's size 6 on a Brannock device and am consistently a size 5 in Women's Bean boots, regardless of whether they're lined or unlined. THIS SPECIFIC KIDS BOOT has a moisture-wicking liner that is SHORTER than the actual length of the boot, so you'll need to follow their sizing suggestions on each specific boot. In an UNLINED KIDS BOOT I would actually be a size 3, but since LLBean doesn't make the original boot unlined for kids (usually cheaper than adult shoes!) the liner in the size 3 was too small and I had to size up to a 4. Measured against my size 6 Women's Bean boot (which is too large for me) the kids size 4 is the exact same sole length.

These are my go-to wet/cold weather boots. They are excellent workmanship and always keep my feet warm and dry as expected. The fit is also very comfortable. I’ve had another pair for 6 years and they are still like new. The only reason I needed to buy a new pair was my shoe size changed. I will choose this boot every time.
